In this prelude to her full, 2-3 hour workshop webinar, paint along with Susan to create this vibrant wild banana flower. Susan will show you how to create an easy and loose background with splatter. You will learn how to use two brushes to colour mix on the paper for vibrant results and also how to use the dry brush technique for darks and details.

MATERIALS
• PAPER: 1 pc 9”x12” (22x30 cms) approx.. watercolour paper, Cold pressed surface, 300 gsm or heavier (tape down loose sheet onto a board, unless using heavyweight paper or a block)
• PAINTS: Tube watercolours in these colours or similar (none are critical – use what you have): Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Red/Winsor Red, P. Alizarin Crimson, P Sap Green, French Ultramarine
• BRUSHES: Brushes: 1” flat or larger, 3 rounds between size 8 – 12, 1 small round (size between 2 – 8)
• OTHER: Pencil, eraser, sketchbook, water pot, palette, paper towel
