In this delightful workshop, Joe will walk you through the painting of this stunning lake composition, using different masking techniques, step-by-step. You will learn how to paint water with ease and the techniques required for painting blossom. Joe will show you how to mix realistic greens which can be used for the techniques shown for painting grass and foliage. You will finish off this lovely scene, you will add a focal point with the addition of a swan.

Recommended materials
• PAPER: Arches 300gsm rough A4
• PAINTS: Phthalo Blue. Cadmium lemon. Paynes grey. Phthalo green. Burnt sienna. Cobalt blue. Quinacridone magenta. Naples yellow.
• BRUSHES: Rough hog hair brush, any size but around 6 or 8, or medium. Available in bargain basement stores etc, Round brushes. Numbers 7, 3, Larger wash brush. Any brush but maybe Hake, or other large soft brush, Small pointed synthetic brush • OTHER: Masking fluid, Kitchen roll, Ceramic mixing palettes with flat mixing surface, Joe uses plates, normal Masking tape - not low tack - 3M is good, scrap watercolour paper, printer paper, typing paper or other paper.
