Join Jane in this relaxing workshop where she will walk you through a watercolour study of a beautiful Clematis flower in quite a detailed way, while still keeping it loose and capturing the light and creating atmosphere. Jane will use a wet-on-wet technique and execute negative painting to pick out background leaves.

Recommended materials list
• PAPER: Watercolour paper size 17” x 14”. (Jane will use using Saunders Waterford 300lb, high white, with a ‘Not’ surface)
• PAINTS: ShinHan - Bright Violet/ Leaf Green/ Indigo/ French Ultramarine
SAA - Olive green/ Vandyke Brown/ Cadmium Lemon
Schmincke - Delft Blue
White Acrylic Ink
(Any similar colours will be ok)
Please note:- Jane sometimes uses acrylic inks in indigo, sepia and purple lake with granulation medium, so it may be a good idea to have these at hand if you would like to enhance the effects, but not essential.
• BRUSHES: A selection of watercolour brushes ranging from size 4 - 16. A fine rigger brush.
• OTHER: Masking fluid and applicator, pipette, spray bottle, pencil, rubber
