Aine Divine
from
Scotland
My name is Aine Divine, I am a portrait artist and art teacher from west Cork in Ireland originally, I now live outside Edinburgh where I teach, create art videos and paint in my garden studio.
I see watercolour as a dramatic and powerful medium, and particularly love to bring this energy portraiture. I featured on BBC's Star Portraits when Mo Mowlam selected my watercolour portrait of her to keep - and reached the final of Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the year, lovely having Ian Mckellan as sitter in the final.
It's this working from life that inspires me most, and what I most look forward to sharing with you here. I do hope you'll join me for this rare and delightful opportunity - a live hosted painting workshop, I'm certainly excited to deliver it.

However, in 2017, he re-discovered the art of drawing and watercolor and was voted as president of the Watercolor Society of South Texas in 2018.
Through teaching, and now online instruction, he has gained international recognition as a watercolor artist. He has won numerous awards in both local and state-wide shows.
Alex Tolstoy
from
Virginia
Alex Tolstoy is a watercolour artist from Virginia who went astray. Her paintings usually have a germ of reality but then deteriorate into something blurry and abstract where the viewer supplies most of a missing picture. Animals pop in and out of a mist of lost edges, buildings simplify into lines. Perhaps Dr. Tolstoy's previous life as a mathematician was an omen of things to come, she just cannot stay within the lines now!
Alex has won awards, had articles published about her work, given demonstrations, and has been in over 160 exhibitions with over a dozen solo or semi-solo shows since 2013. She is a member of numerous societies, both local and national, and her work is in private and corporate collections (such as the Ritz-Carlton) and is distributed throughout the US, Great Britain, Canada, Japan and the US embassy in Barbados.
Ali Hargreaves
from
England
Ali Hargreaves started her career as a primary school teacher, but due to hearing loss, gave this up in pursuit of her dream occupation as an Artist. She lives in Poynton, Cheshire, England with her husband and two boys. "Alisart" started small with commissions from friends, which lead to others! Subsequently, she was asked to teach privately and this eventually lead to the thriving classes and video lessons she runs today. She paints commissions on every subject and media and her work is diverse. Ali teaches regular adult Art classes in Watercolours, Acrylics, and Mixed media.
Ali loves colour, texture and experimenting and she is known for her sense of fun. Ali also demonstrates for Art groups, runs all day workshops and painting holidays abroad.
Amanda Webster
from
England
Amanda Webster has been an artist all her life with her first memory of drawing with orange and green crayons on the heater when she was 3 and getting told off for it by her mum. Her Mum was happier when she went to school to enjoy “messy time”.
Amanda continued her “messy time” all through her school years until graduating in Fine Art Painting at Camberwell School of Art in 1990. Since then she has exhibited and sold work in solo shows as well as group exhibitions – most notably in the National Portrait Gallery - BP Portrait Award. Amanda continues to draw and paint with a passion, sharing technical skills and creative ideas with her students. Amanda teaches painting and drawing at her local college and runs her own art courses as well as providing demonstrations and workshops for art societies and art groups in the UK.
Amid El Haddad
from
Belgium
Moroccan born Amid El Haddad studied at the school of fine arts in Brussels and it was here that watercolour became his favourite medium for rendering.
Faithful to the tradition of Impressionist painters, Amid is an avid Plein-Air painter, producing the majority of his work outdoors. This has helped, over the years, to develop a narrative and scenographic style, which infuse a characteristic story into each painting.
Amid's current activity as a teacher and a tutor helps him to verbalise and share his craft, helping him to express his feelings more accurately and making his inner voice tangible.
Throughout the years, Amid has developed a relationship of spirituality towards watercolour. He considers the medium not as a tool, but respect and interact with it as a partner with its own pace and life cycle.
